I tried very hard to locate or contact two professionals. I used the Global Alliance of Naeyc to contact five different places: Philippines, Germany, Canada, Cuba and Hatai. Also, I used the UNICEF website, but I did not find it as useful as the other one. Finally, I did contact the Head Start center in Mexico, but that did not go far because the lady said she did not speak English and there was no translator. Before I try the part 1 alternative, I have a friend that is from outside the US and works with children. After I have made contact with them, I might try the option two. But, I have a good feeling about these two ladies.
Furthermore, I saw several websites that look interesting. Here are a few: Zero to three, The Naeyc, National Head Start Organization, and Association of Early Childhood Teachers. However, I did subscribe to European Early Childhood Education Research Association. But, I think I will continue to subscribe to more.
Tymeshia I also felt as though I was getting on where. However, hopefully next time we talk we will have more information to share with one another and our peers.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear that your efforts have not worked out for you, yet. Stay positive! I am hoping to not have to do the alternate part 1 assignment because I am excited to get to know more about these specific organizations from people who work within the organization. I hope your good feelings are on point! Good luck with establishing your contacts! How long are you waiting to hear back from your contacts before looking for new ones? I am struggling with the wait time I should have before finding a new contact. Thanks!

When contacting the sources I also thought about the chance of them not speaking English or having an interpreter. I now am thinking is that the reason why we are not getting any responses in the time frame that we were expecting. Hopefully by being persistent we may get feedback. Good luck and hopefully we will have much to share when discussing this topic again.
ReplyDeleteHello Tymeshia,
ReplyDeleteYes, it is hard to connect to other country in a short time. Hope you will find professional contacts outside of the country soon. I also interested in the Zero to three, the National Head Start Association and planning to do more study on The British Association for Early Childhood Education. Looking forward to learn more from you in this course!
